Art & Activities

  • Guests decorated a wooden tree ornament with vibrant paint pens to create a meaningful keepsake celebrating growth and renewal.

  • Guests wrote a wish for the future of the Palisades and hung it on the community Wish Tree—a living symbol of hope, healing, and shared dreams

  • Guests piped melted chocolate into tree shapes and decorated the branches with edible toppings to create their own sweet masterpiece.

  • Guests added their thumbprint to a collaborative tree painting — each print became a leaf.

  • These glass stones survived the fire in the Palisades. Guests created their own pendant — a seed of strength to carry forward through the journey of recovery and renewal.

  • Native wildflower mix seed balls you can plant to grow California poppies and other beautiful flowers. Great for butterflies and biodiversity.

  • Guests tried their hand at lasso roping!

  • Pick-up soccer, basketball, and more for kids who want to run around. Parent/guardian waiver required on-site.

  • Guests struck a pose with their Palisades neighbors — and took home a print or a digital keepsake from a day worth remembering.

  • Guests stepped into our confessional booth and share your story — one question, thirty seconds, and a piece of Palisades history preserved forever.

  • The face painters were amazing!

  • Shimmering glitter tattoos added sparkle to the celebration.

  • Kids were invited to enjoy fun, hands-on crafts.

  • Dolphin art with Katie O’Neill

  • Please check back for photos of the activities.

Lantern Ceremony

Neighborhoods were called one by one to illuminate their lanterns (outfitted with small battery-operated lights and a decorated Year of the Fire Horse ornament) until 400 lanterns glowed — a powerful reminder that our community stands together in recovery. We closed with a brief prayer and moment of silence, sending us forward in hope and unity.
